On this year's first weekend of july (05.-06.july.2008) the old stone pit in Falkenstein located in the Lower Austrian Region Weinviertel, will be the scene for the first OPEN WORLD FESTIVAL.
The Iron Curtain fell nearly two decades ago and since the beginning of this year the boarder controls are history. This presents the opportunity to travel freely around Middle Europe, in order to exchange our experiences and thoughts and, of course, to celebrate a nice party together.
We have invited musicians form Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia and look forward to present them to a local and international audience including Yourself. Party on!
You can find fotos of the stone-pit and the castle ruin in the location-section.
Another example for arrival by train from Vienna and from the Czech Republic.
From tomorrow, Thursday the 28th of May, you will be able to purchase tickets at every Raiffeisen Ticketcorner.
You can, of course, still buy tickets at the WienXtra Jugendinfo.
Two days, six bands... We are proud to be able to offer you so much for your money. =)
In the Location-section you will now find a detailed route plan from Vienna to Falkenstein, an example for the arrival by the OEBB and information about the shuttleservice.
